Manager to Leader Hybrid Program

Program Description:

A practical leadership program for managers preparing to lead through growth, change, and increasing complexity. These four quarterly, half-day workshops are designed to equip team members with practical tools and techniques to strengthen connection, communication, and leadership impact. Each session focuses on enhancing both the skill sets and mindsets needed for effective management and successful transitions into greater leadership roles. Through real-life challenges, interactive role-plays, and collaborative group activities, participants will engage in experiential learning that drives growth, confidence, and results.

Program Sessions:

Workshop #1: Foundations of Leadership
  • Explore different leadership styles and how they influence team dynamics.
  • Evaluate the model of emotional intelligence as described by Daniel Goleman.
  • Enhance emotional intelligence to become a more effective and empathetic leader.
  • Define the mindset of ownership and personal accountability.
  • Understand how to take ownership of intent, actions, and inactions.
  • Recognize how ownership drives resilience, resourcefulness, and resolve.
Workshop #2: Communication & Coaching
  • Master winning techniques to spark successful and positive communications.
  • Understand what a coaching manager is and how to leverage this style in interactions with team members.
  • Learn the keys to navigating tough conversations with confidence.
  • Learn techniques for guiding your team by asking effective questions that uncover challenges, foster collaboration, and offer targeted support.
  • Identify how personal perceptions, i.e., ‘filters,’ influence thinking.
  • Examine how filters affect leadership style and learn a proven process to reframe thinking.
Workshop #3: Team Dynamics & Birkman Workshop
  • Gain a new understanding of what motivates you, how you see yourself, your filters, strengths, blind spots, stress behavior, and mindset through The Birkman Method®.
  • Learn how to communicate more effectively with team members through a better understanding of their motivators, stressors, strengths, and communication preferences.
  • Improve team dynamics by identifying and leveraging strengths to facilitate collaboration, maximize performance, and decrease interpersonal conflict that can lead to workplace stress.
  • Examine potential communication breakdowns that may occur across the various Birkman styles through interactive communication activities.
  • Commit to applying the learnings from this workshop in a practical way, ensuring continuous improvement of team communication skills.
Workshop #4: Strategy & Cross-Functional Impact
  • Learn how to effectively identify a problem and examine its root cause.
  • Implement a problem-solving methodology.
  • Acquire the steps to successfully solve problems and present solutions.
  • Reflect on key program takeaways and articulate a personal commitment to continued leadership growth.
  • Optional Capstone Assignment – At this stage, Nally Ventures Leadership, in collaboration with client decision-makers, may invite participants to complete a capstone assignment. This project typically centers on a meaningful goal identified at the start of the program and brought to completion by the end, allowing participants to apply what they’ve learned in a practical, results-driven way.
