The Birkman Method

We find that the psychology-based Birkman Method assessment is particularly effective in providing insights that enable people to self-manage, avoid unproductive behaviors, and improve their impact and effectiveness as leaders.

The Birkman Method has over 70 years of proven reliability and validity and is used worldwide (40+ countries, 20+ languages). By reaching further into more complex behavioral components, Birkman shines a light on the unique leadership styles among us.

Keirsey

Temperaments reflect personality traits, such as habits of communication, patterns of action, and sets of characteristic attitudes, values and talents. Each temperament has its own unique qualities, strengths, communication preferences and challenges. The KeirseyTemperament Theory™ was developed by David Keirsey between the 1950’s and 1970’s where he identified four basic temperaments: Artisan, Guardian, Idealist and Rational. “The Keirsey Temperament Sorter® extends to more than 170 countries in more than 20 different languages.” (keirsey.com)

Understanding one’s temperament can enhance self-awareness and self-management, two key leadership skills. Leaders also need to recognize different temperaments to better communicate with and leverage the strengths of each type of person.
