Leading as Landscape Architects

Building Communication Skills & Business Relationships

This program will provide the skills that landscape architects need to lead projects and design teams more effectively. Participants will grow in self-confidence, gaining the tools to expand their role on projects beyond design consulting. Throughout the program, we will teach foundational techniques that provide new self-awareness and new knowledge of leadership principles. Our goal is to help participants develop leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills to be more confident in all aspects of their careers.

Program Overview
Inviting All Members of ASLA

Our programs incorporate a variety of techniques to maximize participant engagement. We use group-led discussions, Socratic methods, instructional videos and role-playing throughout our training. We promote collaboration among learners by integrating real-life workplace challenges and problems. Program engagement is not limited in the virtual setting. To do this we leverage breakout rooms, screen sharing, the chat box and more! Register today to gain new skills, build new relationships with others in your field, and earn 12 LA CES credits!

"Any time we're in session training, the thing that I like the most is the time we spend applying training concepts to specifically the issues that we have. As an executive coach, Mike is able to take the complicated and turn it to the simple."

"The Birkman was frighteningly accurate. Also, the results were absolutely non-judgmental in approach; important for the subject to objectively review the results for maximum personal benefit."

Chuck Derickson

"I really liked working together with our management team in these sessions. It has helped the entire team to open up about the issues they face, offering solutions and common experiences. The sessions have also created a new level of accountability and opened communication among the team, which has helped us determine when we need to pivot and reassess versus when we need to realign our thinking."
